The 2018 season is underway for both the U21's squads.

U21 Men's Squad:

The selection process for the Ireland National under 21 Men's Canoe Polo Team 2018 has commenced with a view of entering a team in the upcoming World Championships this August in Ontario Canada.

A number of open sessions have been planned to facilitate as many athletes as possible and to increase competition for places on the squad team. The first of these open squad sessions is planned to took place at The Royal Canal Kilcock, County Kildare on the 10th February 2018.

The sessions will involve a basic fitness test in the morning followed by a skills session with games. All paddlers of proficient ability are encouraged to attend. A comprehensive list of all club contacts is currently being drawn up for future notifications so we would appreciate in the interim if the contents of this mail are forwarded to all interested parties.

Future squad dates will soon be released.

U21 Women's Squad:

Open sessions have started for the under 21's women's team. The team intends to travel to five international competitions this year. These sessions will place at Ashtown Canoe Club at 10 o'clock on the following dates:

  • 25th February
  • 18th March
  • 8th April
  • 29th April
  • 27th May
