National Competitions update

Competitions

The dates for the competitions in 2011 are still been finialised by the competition officer. The dates that are confirmed so far are:

Intervarsities: 18-20th February Cork.
Galway Cup: 4th/5th June. See Galway Cup page for more information
Killaloe Cup: 2/3rd July
Kilcock Cup: 16th/17th July.See Kilcock Cup site
NKCC Cup(Longford) : 23rd/24th July Contact Sean Downes/Ciaran Clinton for details.
Ballyronan Cup : 13th/14th August
Irish Open: August 27th/28th. Venue Galway. See Irish Open page for details when finalised.
Junior competitions Kilcock Junior Competition: 16/17th July (Same weekend as seniors).
Paddlefest 24th/25th September
The following 1 day demonstration events are being worked with the various areas:
Carlow Canoe Club - To coincide with the Waterways Ireland Centenary. Easter weekend
Phibsborough - 11th September - during the Phibsborough festival
Malahide Sea Scouts - weekend Blitz. Dates to be confirmed.

Leagues

There are two leagues played in Ireland at the minute:
The Dublin Canoe Polo League DCPL and the Munster Canoe Polo League. Teams from all over play in both these leagues.

Competition Rules

The Canoe Ireland Canoe Polo Competiton Rules for 2009 will be used for the 2011 season.
