Refereeing & Rules

Canoe polo requires two referees to supervise the matches. Each of the referees control one side of the pitch. The referee has the duty to keep an eye on the right hand side of play. Therefore if the ball is in the referees play area that referee will watch the goal area for fouls, whilst the referee on the other bank watches for fouls around the ball.

The refereeing officer for 2011 is Michael Griffen.

The new rules were updated in 2011. See Canoe Polo Rules
